5 Star Read! Moth and Spark by Anne Leonard was a truly amazing read! See the original review on GoodReads.
The language was easy to understand while still feeling as if it fit the tone of the setting. And oh what a setting. While at court there are dozens of rooms explored and described, and with that many you'd expect them to get repetitive and boring, not the case. The main locations were explained in enough detail to give you a start on imagining where you are and the less important locations are touched on quick enough to let your mind build something to fit and move on.
The characters were treated in much the same way. With all the comings and goings in a royal court not all of the characters were explained in painful details, many were just enough to jump start your imagination and leave it up to the reader. The main character's personalities were detailed, descriptive and painted a wonderful image of who they were and their motivations. As the book progressed I often found myself cheering them on, blushing when they said/did something stupid and wishing I could do more to help them through their trials.
This story was truly wonderful and it was a pleasure to read and honor to review. Now excuse me while I go read it again.
