January is always a special month for me; the time to set a new reading goal, to create a plan of attack for the years hobbies and writing, and a time to look at what's coming in the year ahead and get excited.  Let's see what's coming up in January 2015!

5 Things You Didn't Know About 'The Lord Of The Rings' in honor of the final film's release this past holiday and the end of a 10+ year fascination with not just the writing and story telling, but the miniatures and film effects as well, brush up on some of your Tolkien trivia for those late nights of LOTR Trivial Pursuit.

A few tips and tricks on how to How to Read More in the new year, all easy and do-able.  Don't read what you hate, stop reading because you think you should, etc.

An on the flip side, The Problem with Reading Competitively, one reader's view on why a book count competition doesn't fit for her.  I agree with bits and portions, but overall I enjoy being competitive with myself and have no problem treating other reader's goals as their own.
