I've been in a bit of a book rut, and what do you know... I think DIVERGENT (by Veronica Roth) may have cured me! Check out my review below or on HERE on GoodReads.
Her romantic relationship is focused on strength and him pushing her to being the best she can be, but still protecting her so she is not discovered and killed. The timeline for the romance was refreshingly slow, there was no sex in this book, and the characters took their time and both made the comments that they were not ready.
Tris stands up for the little man repeatedly and always looks out for her friends. She doesn't see her faction as perfect and instead of fitting to their mold, she makes it her own. She is a fantastic example of having a moral compass while still being human and committing human mistakes and then course correcting and owning up to her mistakes. I can't wait to read the next two and (possibly) check out the film! Thanks Veronica for a great read!
