Hello and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and all that.
I'm not really in the spirit this year, but here's my obligatory Christmas quote either way.
“One can never have enough socks," said Dumbledore. "Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn't get a single pair. People will insist on giving me books.”
After a day full of baking hundreds of cookies with my best friend here's a quote that has never been more prevalent in my life.
"We have three kinds of family. Those we are born to, those who are born to us and those we let into our hearts."
The best part of a school break is being able to read whenever I want to.
"I get a warm feeling among my books."
December 21, 1905: Anthony Powell was famously subject to posthumous literary snark from frenemy V.S. Naipaul, who said, "It may be that our friendship lasted all this time because I had not examined his work."

I apparently really, REALLY missed reading. Here's the next novella and its following novel that I'll be reading today and a quote from each. You can also check out the review I wrote for Dance with the Devil on goodreads. I wrote this, I think, the second time I read it.
