It’s time for what we’ve all been waiting for; Morna and Jerry’s story! Bethany Claire has finally given us bit chomping readers the love story of Morna and her modern love, Jerry. Links are below for how you can pick up the Audible or eBook file. [goodreads | Audible]
There’s not much to say about this story except, thank goodness. With a beloved character like Morna, it would have been easy for BC to write a story for Morna that was not up to the reader’s expectations. There was nothing about this story that was a letdown. Morna and Jerry had just the right amount of push and pull, with Morna’s family ties finally shown, and even Kip and Mary make a sweet appearance. There’s enough intrigue to make it not just a pure romance novel, and of course, the time-travel aspect was present.
It was wonderful going back to Conall Castle and seeing old friends, especially when they are as sweet as Morna, her brother, Jerry, and Mary.
Lily Collingwood is, as always, enjoyable to hear.
I’ve sent the manuscript out to various friends and family who have different genre preferences, and I am currently biting my nails awaiting their feedback. Once I hear back from everyone, I will begin the querying process in the hopes of selling the book. As always, I will keep you updated.
Thank you for all of your support over the years, I honestly couldn’t have made it without you.
First things first, Happy June! Wow, how time flies. 2017 is almost half over, and I can hardly believe it. Summer is fast approaching and reading a good book on the porch is my afternoon temptation. I hope you’re getting some sun (or snow southern hemisphere!) and enjoying it however you do you.
Quick update with me and my battle with depression; I’m… about the same. I’m now on three medications, daily light therapy, a handful of other over-the-counter treatments, and have found out that depression is coded into my DNA. Pretty crazy ride I’m on. Saying I’m about the same is not exactly accurate, I’m having more good days than bad, so I count that as a win. As always, please reach out if you are suffering, many people care about you and are ready to help. Myself included. Feel free to send me a private message using my contact form.
Next, postcards! Yup, those snail-mail artifacts of a time long gone with a neat image and a tiny space to write. Well, I’m becoming obsessed. I have to admit, Andi Van (totally rad human being, go check them out) is to blame. One of our dearest friends is very VERY sick, and because we are unable to be with her, Andi had the brilliant idea that we would each send her a postcard every other day. That way, she has something to look forward to and knows we are with her in spirit. Three times a week I sit down and write about the mundane, my cats, how much I miss her, or anything else that comes up (last week it was a double vet appointment, riveting, I know). This also spurred me to use the website, PostCrossing. It’s a postcard penpal site where for every card you send to a randomly selected user, you get one in return. I’m in love and highly recommend it to anyone with a few minutes a week to spare.
Update on Keeper’s. I will be done this weekend. Yup, I said it out loud and put it in writing. I will be ready for beta readers and query by Sunday night. *wild muppet arms* I just… wow. It’s been a long road and one I would have never made it down without the help of my blood and chosen family. More updates to come soon.
I’ve miss you all, and I will be around more often, I promise.
All my love and happy reading,
